Mexicolor at Elvira's

When traveling just north of the border you get a chance to see much of beautiful and very colorful decor from Mexico. I particularly have a fondness to this style as our home exhibits much of the same flavor.

I love the mixture of the dark hand carved wood, perfectly placed vibrant accent pieces along with splashes of gold and pewter. Having a home decorated like this always makes me feel like I'm on vacation and it's time for a margarita.

Combining the decor with tropical plants, ornate rugs and some candles can really bring a room together. Here the room has an off white color painted on the walls but I also like a really vibrant wall color to completely change the feel and temperature of the room.

These photos were taken in the retail store of Elvira's Restaurant. The store is stunning, I wanted to buy everything in it and the restaurant has unbelievable food. If you're in the area of Tubac, Arizona be sure to stop in. The Mole is very tasty and the Molcajete is out of this world. Stop in for diner and a great margarita! You won't be disappointed.
