Another great place to spend some time in southern Arizona. Stroll the dirt roads, explore the rustic shops, beautiful galleries or grab a bite at one of the great restaurants all here in beautiful Tubac.
This small town just north of the Arizona / Mexico border has more to do and explore than meets the eye. I love walking the dirt roads snapping some great street scene photos. It's not the typical street photography that one may be used to seeing. Think old west, add some vibrant colors and a whole lot of rustic flavor of Old Mexico and the Arizona southwest. I especially love the old section of Tubac with the historic homes, natural desert landscapes and a beautiful mountain backdrop. I photograph here quite a bit and always seem to find something new to catch my eye.
Along with the great photo opportunities, I always find time to head in to one of the delicious restaurants. Mexican, Italian, French... take your pick. Grab a coffee, pastry or even and ice cream. Tubac has some tasty eats and decadent treats. An added plus is the close proximity to Mission San José de Tumacácori. Just minutes away.
So if you heading north or south on I-19, make a stop in the fun little town of Tubac. Maybe even stay the night. They got you covered for that as well.
